A BSL Level 3 online with tutor one to one work from home. An update of a new level three online will be input on the website ASAP. This will be run at the above venue and at the end of each session, you will be able to sit and join in with Chorley Deaf Club which is on the same evening. This will enhance your knowledge of deaf communication and culture.
Entry Requirements. Students need to have obtained a Level 2 certificate in BSL or equivalent. Or who have good signing skill can attend an interview with one of our BSL assessors.
The Level 3 Certificate in BSL qualification has assessments that are similar to Level 1 and Level 2, but they are far more demanding. To find out what on what day the course will run, please go to BSL Course Information on this website.
There are three units:
320: Linguistics – this part is a written exam
321: Receptive – tested on watching two people in conversation
322: Production – a topic is researched in depth by the student, given as a presentation followed by a discussion about the presentation that is filmed.
320 Linguistics will be 6 Sessions, including the exam. 321 Receptive will be 15 Sessions, including the exam. 322 Productive will be 15 Sessions, including the exam.

Cost of Course
The course taken in one academic year Total Cost for the course is £880. This includes the units on linguistics, productive and receptive. There is an additional payment to the awarding body, Signature for the assessment / examination fees of £141. Payments for the course can be made debit / credit card. Payments can also be made by four instalments for the complete Level 3 course. A non refundable deposit of £200 will reserve your place on the course.
If we do not receive your first payment before the course begins you will not be able to take your place. Course Fees are outlined on the Fee Schedule. Refunds will be made in the following circumstances – Course cancellation, withdrawal prior to commencement of course.
No refund will be made to students who fail to attend classes and it is your responsibility to attend classes.
On completion of all three individual units, the student will receive the full qualification.
